A seven race card at the Curragh today gets underway at 2.10 with a six furlong maiden race. The going should be good to soft with rain falling on the course for most of the morning. Nephrite is a newcomer from the Aidan O' Brien yard and has been installed as the bookies favourite at 3/1 for the opener.
The 2.40 is a six furlong handicap and is a wide open encounter with no one horse really standing out. Next up is the 3.10, a seven furlong fillies race. I fancy Remember Alexander here at 5/1 for Johnny Murtagh although Coral Wave is the obvious favorite.
Next up is another seven furlong race at 3.45pm. The Dermot Weld trained Catch The Eye has done exactly that and is favorite at 10/3. The 4.20pm one mile group 2 encounter looks like a foregone conclusion with Akeed Mofeed being given odds of 8/11 for the Oxx/Murtagh combination.
The penultimate race of the day is the 4.55pm over a trip of 1mile 2f. Here I will back an outside chance with Legendary Times at 10/1. It's definitely one worth considering and is capable of a good performance here.
The finale is a 1mile 2f maiden race where I've sided with Eva's Time at 4/1 for Dermot Weld.
